Get Over Yourself, and Your Pockets, LifeSite

Get Over Yourself, and Your Pockets, LifeSite

Start of recent Lifesite Article quote:

As Bishop Rene Henry Gracida, of Corpus Christi Texas, explained in September 2004: "Consider the case of a Catholic voter who must choose between three candidates: Kerry, who is completely for abortion on demand, Bush, who is in favor of very limited abortion, i.e., in favor of greatly restricting abortion and Peroutka, a candidate who is completely against abortion but who is universally recognized as being unelectable. The Catholic can vote for Peroutka, but that will probably only help ensure the election of Kerry. Therefore the Catholic voter has a proportionate reason to vote for Bush, since his vote might help to ensure the defeat of Kerry and might result in the saving of some innocent human lives."
Where does that logic come from? Pope John Paul II explained in his encyclical, Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life), "…when it is not possible to overturn or completely abrogate a pro-abortion law, an elected official, whose absolute personal opposition to procured abortion was well known, could licitly support proposals aimed at limiting the harm done by such a law and at lessening its negative consequences at the level of general opinion and morality. This does not in fact represent an illicit cooperation with an unjust law, but rather a legitimate and proper attempt to limit its evil aspects."
Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput has proposed this definition of proportionate. "What is a 'proportionate' reason when it comes to the abortion issue?," he wrote in January 2008. "It's the kind of reason we will be able to explain, with a clean heart, to the victims of abortion when we meet them face to face in the next life - which we most certainly will. If we're confident that these victims will accept our motives as something more than an alibi, then we can proceed."

:End of Lifesite article quote

Full disclosure first. Lifesite has always supported some (supposed) pro-life backbench liberal politicians who in turn have supported the CLC newspaper, the Interim (at minimum) with donations that would also include ads for the liberal opportunists.

There was/is no larger liberal opportunist in life in the liberal federal party, than Tom Whappel. He was in charge of some supposed pro-life liberal caucus (the ultimate oxymoron and insult to intelligence to anyone who knows a wit about Canadian politics).

If Whappel didn’t lose all credibility before, (certainly not) his fat liberal pension, he certainly lost it after he single-handedly, or anyone in this phoney pro-life liberal caucus, could have brought down the ruling Martin liberals just one week before a vote enshrining homosexual “marriage rights” into Canada, but of course, refused to.

The “Caucus Leader” who dumped his own wife and family in the middle of his political career as hardly uncommon in big boy political circles, as that is, simply had to cross the floor and start life as an independent MP and a hero, instead of a confirmed goat.

The vote of course, was a ‘kangaroo vote’ that was broadcast nation-wide on TV and radio over a joint Liberal/NDP Marxist arm-twisting, authored budget that was never going to be implemented under the Canadian sunset. This, as opposed to some issue Whappel had to personally ’agonize over as a matter of liberal principle or liberal conscience (greater than the health of the institutions of Family and Marriage no less).

Even after this TV and radio show of a man for all seasons, Lifesite, bore witness to a great man who fought for pro life causes yadda yadda yadda ….and never failed to have his picture and ad in their newspaper.

The same Lifesite, who only a few days later than their posting of the main quote above, posted on how they are not affiliated with any politician or party, however, (negating everything written prior to however) they can’t see how anyone could possibly vote for Obama. A good enough statement on Obama, but hardly true as a non political axim they live by.

They can see their way clear when they want to, don’t they? You, Lifesite, also say you are non-denominational, yet, most if not all your employees are Catholic and by far the majority of your articles are Catholic related. Are you ashamed of this, or, are just being politically correct for the sake of not turning off donations.

The 'donation same reason' you, Lifesite fought Show The Truth signs for so long, STT signs, being the one North American instrument of change, in recent history finally changing minds in society, even if the Truth in pictures doesn't rest well with today's comfy, pathetic Catholics.

Look, Lifesite, as once pointed out by a famous pro-life Canadian Priest, you’re not half as stupid as you pretend to be, and we’re not half as gullible as you think we are.

Canada has province wide pro-life parties and a national pro-life party in Canada and you have refused to support any of them, to any real degree, while you have heaped praise on your paying 'customers' who run for one hundred percent iron clad pro-abortion Marxist mainstream parties.

In fact, you have gone out of your way to attack and stigmatize the leader of the one pro-life, Ontario Family Coalition party, Guiseppe Gori.

As far as your quote from the Holy Father you so obviously tried to use to your own advantage, are we to suppose that George Bush the ‘Head’ of the Republican Party carries the same weight in his party as Tom Whappel, in the liberal party of Canada?

Are we to suppose that any Liberal Party of, or in, Canada or self-labelled ’Conservative’ party for that matter would consider a serious pro-life Bill brought forth by one of their MPs or MPPs (unless the political correct winds ever shift that way thru non-political bastardized means)?

In ‘North America‘, (Hellloooo) and you know this, as well as anyone. It has always been, at least, since Trudeau... 'all' about... hardline parties, who even throw out prolife local Riding candidates and parachute in party butt kissers. when the party gets one over the token prolife quota of Party Catholic vote getters and Church ground, soapbox 'winning' celebrity slicksters.

Pro-life Catholics do (to often), but should never ever vote for liberal and New Democrats in Canada or for the Democrats in the USA. These are Political Parties of baby killing to say the most and enough, that have gone ‘down hill’ steadily in at least the last ‘sixty’ years. What have these secret political pro-life agents of change accomplished working in the possessed political mainstream parties of North America, to June 21 2008?

‘Possessed’ to strong? Have you seen the Ted Kennedys, the Obamas, the Clintons, the Carters, the Trudeaus, the McGuintys, the Chretiens, et al, et al…. when they start shouting and get self-righteous of their ‘liberal values and principles’ ( which they could/can never say, or write down specifically). Have you seen LifeSites referenced article on how Satan loves to posess politicians?

You never ever just vote for the ‘best of the worst’ as Lifesite so strongly implies. Every vote given… your Christ observed mark and stamp of approval, and insight into your heart and literal soul in such times of politically sanctioned immorality. is taken as your 'tacit full support' by Satan’s latest support party du jour. Do you hear politicans in their victory speeches ever say, "Well we know some supporters really had to plug their nose when they voted for us?"
Of course not.

It's more like " Boy, our poop doesn't stink now, and we have a clear mandate to do all kinds of stuff we never even warned you about, now. Thank you, you stupid schmucks. Just put my pension stubs in auto-deposit will ya, cuz when I retire so goes my patritism, see you in Florida!
And thank you for paying more for your life requiring medicines from now on. because I just got an honorary drug company Directorship in Florida on that glorius F.U. day, too.

What incentive is there for the status quo to ever change.... as starkly demonstrated in the last sixty years? Go with the Truth and Faith, ‘always‘. Don’t ever compromise, trade-off or vote for evil.

And don't try and tell me, that if the Holy Father lived in North America, he would ever vote for a Liberal, or New Democrat Party in Canada or for the Democrats in the USA to vote 'stragically'.

If all the Christians didn’t vote for these blatantly immoral political parties, these parties would wonder, and seek out this great pool of voters. The Republicans learned this lesson, with Dole, and won with Bush (even if there is no clear sense of their direction now).

Look, Lifesite, if you are going to stand yourself up as the pro-life shinning night and pat yourself on the back every day, cut the B.S.

You had best be squeaky, clean and awfully thoughtful. Nobel causes are never for popularity of the present, and go against the grain and desires of the ’world’.

And there is no nobler cause then for the lives and souls of the innocent.

I commend you to your last quoted paragraph, hardly to the feelings of ‘Catholic’ liberal politicians.

"It's the kind of reason we will be able to explain, with a clean heart, to the victims of abortion when we meet them face to face in the next life - which we most certainly will. If we're confident that these victims will accept our motives as something more than an alibi, then we can proceed."
